	Kevin died at the age of 18 from alcohol poisoning on the night of his first "house warming party". Kevin loved Montana and visited often, in his honor his father Barry will be walking to Montana in February of 2007 with Kevin's ashes. It is a privilege to participate in this journey with Barry and and his family and we invite each and every one of you to join us!!

Alcohol is the most widely used and abused drug affecting our youth. Alcohol kills more teenagers than all other drugs combined. The average age for first time alcohol use is 11 for boys and 13 for girls. The average age that Americans begin drinking regularly is 16. More than 40% of those who begin drinking under 16, develop a dependence ("alcoholism") on alcohol. Alcoholism affects more people than diabetes, lung cancer, breast cancer, or heart attacks. The three leading causes of death for 15 to 24 year olds are automobile crashes, homicides and suicides - Alcohol is a leading factor in all three. Drinking alcohol during adolescence may upset the critical hormonal balance necessary for normal development of organs, muscles, and bones. 17% of teens who have had an intimate encounter have done something sexual while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. About 1900 people under the age of 21 die annually as a result of drunk driving. About 3 in every 10 Americans will be involved in an alcohol-related crash at some time in their lives. About 40 percent of all violent and non-violent crimes are committed under the influence of alcohol. Most suicide attempts occur under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol DOES effect brain development. Studies show that alcohol is involved in 74 percent of sexual assaults.
